Pitch Perfect 3: 0/5 – I seen it because the fiancé loves the first two films, but this was just a waste of everybody’s time. Everyone in the theatre seemed disappointed too. What a piss poor way to end an already underwhelming and overrated trilogy.
Bright: 0/5 – Again, another waste of time. There were a few decent ideas in the mix, but everything was executed so poorly. At least the soundtrack had a few gems.

Mary and the Witch’s Flower: 8/10 - The debut film from Studio Ponoc, a Japanese animation studio founded by several former Studio Ghibli animators and employees.
Visually stunning, a great story and soundtrack. The British voice cast was refreshing, as the English-language dubs of anime films are usually made up of a North American cast. Although the film shared the Ghibli-esque magic which I loved, the pacing of the movie was quite fast and didn’t leave room for the audience to emotionally invest into the characters, an aspect that Ghibli has mastered.
