Fifth Harmony's Normani Kordei Signs Solo Publishing Deal

#1

Camila Cabello says that she went solo at the end of 2016 after she was forced to choose between her spot in the band and her solo aspirations. That’s why it’s a little strange that with every passing day, it seems another member of Fifth Harmony is signing a solo deal.

Lauren Jauregui made waves in the Fifth Harmony fandom last month when a little birdy at Billboard learned that she’s reportedly pulling a Camila by moving to Columbia from Epic to release a solo album.

Now it seems Normani Kordei is following in her footsteps.

Normani has officially signed with publishing company Stellar Songs as a songwriter — the same publishing company Sam Smith is signed to.

This news comes a few short months after Normani signed a solo management deal with S10 Entertainment.

But the eternal question still remains: What does this mean for Fifth Harmony?

Just because Normani signed a deal for solo representation doesn’t necessarily mean that Fifth Harmony are breaking up.

But with so many members of what remains of Fifth Harmony doing their own thing, it’s hard not to worry that the group is planning to go the way of One Direction and take an “indefinite” hiatus.

Please, Fifth Harmony, feel free to clear this up at your earliest convenience.
