This thing twists meaningful resistance into a hollow caricature that diminishes the very idea of protest. Yes, the world is a terrible place. But Justin Timberlakeā€™s woke-pop brain farts will not save us.

The song isnā€™t as good as Filthy in my opinion, but I will agree that this era seems very try hard. From the Drake-like dancing to the dystopia theme, the whole ā€œwokeā€ thing would have come across as legitimately genuine during Justified, FS/LS or even 20/20.
